Our Story – Where Saigon’s Soul Meets Thoughtful Hospitality
In the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s historic District 1—where French colonial facades whisper stories of the past and neon-lit streets pulse with modern energy—Roseland Sweet Hotel was born not just as a place to stay, but as a heartfelt invitation to experience Saigon like a cherished guest in a local home.
Founded in 2018 by a team of Vietnamese hospitality professionals with deep roots in the city, Roseland Sweet Hotel emerged from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a boutique sanctuary that honors Saigon’s vibrant spirit while offering travelers the comfort, care, and authenticity they deserve. The name “Roseland” evokes elegance and warmth, while “Sweet” reflects the gentle, sincere hospitality that defines every interaction at the hotel—a nod to the Vietnamese value of mến khách (genuine guest-friendliness).
From the outset, the founders were determined to do things differently. Rather than mimic the impersonal grandeur of large chains, they designed a 65-room urban retreat where every detail—from the curve of a bathtub to the selection of breakfast fruits—was chosen with intention. The location itself was no accident: 04 Cao Ba Quat Street sits on a quiet, tree-lined avenue just steps from Dong Khoi’s luxury boutiques, the bustling Ben Thanh Market, and iconic landmarks like Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. It’s a rare sweet spot—central enough for exploration, yet serene enough for rest.
The hotel’s architecture and interiors blend contemporary minimalism with subtle Vietnamese touches: soft earth tones, handcrafted wood accents, and curated local art create a calming ambiance, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame dynamic city views. Every room features thoughtful amenities often overlooked elsewhere—deep soaking bathtubs for weary travelers, international HD TV channels (NHK, KBS, CCTV) for global guests, blackout curtains for uninterrupted sleep, and high-speed Wi-Fi that just works.
But what truly defines Roseland Sweet Hotel’s story is its people. From day one, the team has operated on a simple principle: hospitality is human. Staff aren’t trained to recite scripts—they’re encouraged to listen, remember names, share hidden street food gems, and anticipate needs before they’re voiced. This philosophy has resonated deeply with guests, earning the hotel a remarkable 9.2/10 rating from over 1,750 travelers on platforms like Trip.com—many of whom return year after year, not just for the location or amenities, but for the feeling of being truly seen.
In 2021, listening to guest feedback and staying true to their commitment to excellence, the founders undertook a full renovation—refreshing furnishings, upgrading soundproofing, enhancing the rooftop pool area, and refining the breakfast menu to better celebrate Vietnam’s culinary richness. Yet they preserved what mattered most: the soul of the place.
Today, Roseland Sweet Hotel stands as more than a hotel—it’s a quiet promise kept daily to every guest who walks through its doors: that your time in Saigon will be comfortable, memorable, and sweet in every sense of the word.
This is our story. And we’d be honored to be part of yours.
